PR stunt production, London, designed, built and delivered end-to-end.
PopHaus is a London PR stunt production company. We build the stunts that end up in the newspapers, on the TikTok feed, and in the press release, from tactical single-day activations to structural takeovers that dominate a London postcode for a weekend. Some clients call it a PR stunt, others a publicity stunt, either way, it's built to earn coverage, not pay for it.
We work brand-direct and as a trade build partner to PR, experiential and creative agencies. Every stunt runs end-to-end from one team: creative response, technical design, workshop build, permit management, on-site install and clean strike. One point of contact, one fixed-price quote, no farmed-out layers.

What PopHaus builds for PR stunts
Not every PR moment needs a full brand activation. The formats that get press pick-up are usually simpler and sharper than the pop-ups they're often confused with. PopHaus builds:
-
Guerilla installations tactical builds in high-footfall London locations (Shoreditch, Soho, King's Cross, Covent Garden, Southbank)
-
Photo-op moments designed for the specific angle and vertical crop that lands on Instagram, TikTok and picture desks
-
Structural takeovers building or facade dressing, temporary scenic architecture, oversized props
-
Press previews invite-only press moments with build, staffing and hosting
-
Reactive campaigns stunts responding to a news cycle, cultural moment, or competitor activity (turnaround as fast as 5 working days)
-
Talent activations builds designed to feature a specific talent booking, product placement or brand appearance
Media walls, press backdrops and photo moments
The single most important element of most PR stunt builds is the hero shot — the image that lands on picture desks, in press releases and on brand social feeds. We design and build the physical structures that generate those images:
• Press walls and step-and-repeat backdrops — Purpose-built branded walls for press days, influencer previews and product launches. Structural fabrication (not fabric hire), branded finish to press-day standard, engineered for vertical and horizontal crop.
• Illuminated hero walls — LED-backlit and neon-integrated walls where the light IS the brand identity — the kind of moment that photographs as strongly by night as by day. Fashion, beauty and drinks launches particularly.
• Sculptural photo moments — The oversized prop, the branded doorway, the walk-in installation. Where the brand asset itself becomes the photo — a bottle, a logo, a giant object rendered at scale, engineered for the crowd to interact with and photograph.
• Statement archway entrances — Full-height branded archways as the entry to the PR moment. Faux floral, LED backlit, sculptural or neon-integrated formats. See our full archway service range on the large-scale builds page.
Why our media walls sit above fabric hire and photo booth options
Photo booth vendors and fabric-wall hire companies serve their market well. Our builds sit above them for premium PR contexts where the wall IS the campaign hero image — proper structural fabrication, custom to the specific brand palette and hero-shot angle, integrated lighting engineered as one piece rather than clipped on.
Budget bands for press moment builds: £5–15k single-format (backdrop wall OR archway OR photo prop), £15–40k multi-format press moment (wall plus archway plus interactive element), £40k+ flagship PR takeovers.

How much does a PR stunt cost in London?
A full answer lives on our PR stunt cost page, but here is a working summary. Most London PR stunts fall into three budget tiers. Some briefs still call this a publicity stunt budget — the tiers below apply either way.
Budget is driven primarily by scale, duration, venue fees, scenic complexity, tech integration and staffing. Single-supplier delivery through PopHaus typically saves 20–30% versus equivalent work delivered through a fragmented supply chain. Read more on our Cost of PR Activation page.
£10k–£25k
Small-scale moments
One-day PR stunts, single scenic moments, small-format pop-ups in free or low-cost venues. Ideal for social-first launches and press moments that do not need heavy footfall infrastructure.
£25k–£60k
Mid-scale activations
Multi-day pop-ups, branded retail takeovers, interactive installations with some technology, proper bar or sampling integration. The sweet spot for most product launches and brand moments with press targets.
£60k–£150k+
Full production
Multi-week stunts, festival-scale builds, complex installations with AV integration, stock, staffing and multiple activation zones. Budget scales with ambition, venue costs and duration.

What is a PR Stunt?
A PR activation is a physical, experience-led campaign designed to generate press coverage, social conversation and direct consumer interaction. Many briefs still refer to this as a publicity stunt. Unlike a standard event, a PR stunt exists to earn media it is engineered from the start to be photographed, filmed and shared.
PR activations sit at the intersection of experiential marketing and earned-media PR. Where a traditional event rewards people for turning up, a PR stunts rewards the brand with coverage, social reach and first-party customer data. Done well, a single three-day activation can generate more press value than a month of paid advertising.
Common formats include pop-up shops, brand takeovers, immersive installations, influencer-first environments, product reveal stunts and interactive experiences at festivals or high-footfall locations. The goal is always the same: create a moment that is worth stopping for, writing about and posting about.
Our PR activation services
Every activation is different, but most briefs fall into one of the formats below. We design and project-manage each one end to end from structural scenic through to finishing details like signage, dressing and light touches delivered through our trusted supplier network.
For more examples, see our full campaign work or get in touch for relevant case studies from your sector.
Our PR activation process
Step 1
We start with a discovery call to understand the campaign objective, press targets, audience and budget parameters. From there we build a creative response with mood boards, reference imagery and a proposed scope of work.
Step 2
Our design team produces 3D visuals and technical drawings so you can see exactly what will be built. Nothing goes into production until the design is signed off.
Step 3
Scenic, joinery, finishes, print and integration all happen in our London workshop. Everything is pre-built and test-fitted before it ships to site.
Step 4
Our crew delivers and installs on site, managing access, rigging, power and timing. Most installs complete within 24–72 hours depending on scale.
Step 5
During activation we can provide on-site crew, content capture through our preferred photography partners, and running repairs as needed.
Step 6
We handle full strike and where useful storage between activations so the build can be reinstalled for subsequent events. This spreads cost across campaigns and reduces waste.
Why PR activations work in London
London concentrates press, brand decision-makers, cultural influencers and high-value footfall in a way no other UK city does. A single well-placed activation in Shoreditch or Soho can reach the journalists, creators and industry buyers that a regional campaign would spend weeks trying to aggregate.
London also has the venue infrastructure from disused retail units through to destination spaces like Battersea Power Station, Coal Drops Yard and the Old Truman Brewery that make complex activations possible at short notice. Combine that with the UK's highest concentration of specialist build talent, and the city remains the natural home for ambitious experiential campaigns.

Leading PR activation agencies in London
The London PR activation market includes a mix of large experiential agencies, specialist build partners and creative-led shops. The agencies you will most often see named alongside PopHaus include Jack Morton, George P Johnson, Imagination, Sense London and Amplify.
Where those agencies tend to operate at enterprise scale across multiple disciplines, PopHaus is a specialist build and design partner typically engaged directly by brand teams looking for a fast, end-to-end production route, or by creative agencies looking for a dependable execution partner. That focus means tighter budgets, shorter lead times and a single team accountable from sketch to strike.
If you are currently briefing multiple agencies, we are happy to quote against an existing creative concept or provide a side-by-side comparison on scope, timeline and budget.
