Giant Props London — Large-Scale Build Producer
Bespoke oversized props, sculptural hero pieces and large-scale builds — designed, project-managed and installed by one accountable London team.
PopHaus is a London giant prop producer. We design bespoke oversized props, sculptural hero pieces and large-scale builds for brand activations, PR stunts, product launches, retail spectacles, broadcast events and experiential campaigns across London and the UK. From giant product replicas and walk-around branded characters to sculptural landmarks and red-carpet hero scenic — every project is run end-to-end by one PopHaus producer, with fabrication delivered by our trusted network of London and UK workshops. Recent clients include LEGO, Lipton, The Ivy Collection, the Pride of Britain Awards and Captain Morgan.
Our model is straightforward: a single accountable producer leads the design, structural engineering, supplier coordination, install, on-site running and de-rig — while the right specialist workshop is appointed for each build, matched to the materials, finish standard and lead time the brief demands. One point of contact, one fixed-price quote, no margin stacked across multiple agencies and contractors. Most large-scale builds run between £10k and £150k+ with lead times of 3–10 weeks.

Share your concept, the location and the reveal date and we'll respond inside 48 hours with sketches, materials direction, structural feasibility and a build budget. No brief fees, fixed-price quotes against signed-off scope. We also project-manage full event installation and de-rig and on-going storage and reuse so your hero piece can travel across multiple campaigns.
What we build
Six categories cover the majority of giant prop briefs that land in our London diary. Every project is bespoke — we don't hold stock prop hire. Each piece is designed backwards from the photograph it needs to deliver, then engineered and fabricated through the right specialist workshop in our network.
Giant product replicas
Oversized versions of your product — bottles, cans, packaging, devices, toys — produced as photo-led hero pieces for PR stunts, retail windows, outdoor activations and trade show stands. Built scale-accurate at any size from 3m to 10m+. Past PopHaus work includes giant drinks bottle replicas for FMCG launches, oversized packaging hero pieces for grocery sampling campaigns and scale product hero builds for tech launches. See our wider brand activation work
Sculptural hero builds
Sculpted, sculptural and abstract large-format scenic pieces designed to be the photograph everyone takes. From iconic landmarks rebuilt at brand-house scale through to abstract sculptural objects designed to anchor a press moment. Fabrication routed to the right workshop in our network — CNC, hand-sculpt, fibreglass, foam carve or hybrid build, depending on the finish brief. Used across our experiential marketingand immersive retail work.
PR stunt props
Single-moment hero builds designed specifically to earn press coverage. Built around one question: what shot does this stunt need to land in the trade press, on social and on a journalist's phone? We design backwards from that shot, appoint the right fabricator for the finish, then install and run on the day. See our full PR stunt production service.
Award show and red-carpet builds
Hero scenic for award ceremonies, red-carpet events and broadcast moments. Trusted by the Pride of Britain Awards for branded statues, presenter plinths and walk-on hero pieces. Designed and project-managed for live broadcast — clean lines, broadcast-friendly finish, no shine that interferes with on-camera lighting, fast strike between rehearsal and live transmission.
Retail window and shop-front hero pieces
Large-format hero scenic for window displays, retail launches and seasonal takeovers across Regent Street, Oxford Street, Covent Garden, Westfield and Coal Drops Yard. Designed and project-managed around the constraints retail demands — fire-retardant materials, low-clearance ceilings, foot-traffic-safe installation and sealed finishes that don't shed into the retail environment. See our set build and scenic construction page for the full scenic service.
Branded characters and walk-around mascots
Walk-around mascot suits, oversized branded characters and hero character builds for kids' campaigns, family-event activations, entertainment IP launches and football fan zones. Designed for performer comfort and safety over a long activation day — visibility and breathability designed in, not retro-fitted. Fabrication routed to specialist mascot makers in our network.
How a giant prop gets produced at PopHaus
Six steps from brief to de-rig. Typical lead time 3–10 weeks depending on scale, complexity and finish standard. Rush builds possible — we've delivered fully-engineered giant props in 10 days where the reveal date demanded it.
Step 1: Brief, photo target and concept
Every giant prop project starts with one question: what is the hero photograph this build has to deliver? Trade-press headline shot, social-first reel, broadcast cut-away — each demands different scale, angle, lighting and finish. Within 5 working days we come back with concept sketches, scale references, materials direction and a structural-cost outline.
Step 2: Structural engineering and feasibility
Oversized props live or die on structural engineering. Anything over 3m tall, anything cantilevered, anything that travels — gets full structural calcs from our engineer. Wind-load assessment for outdoor installs. Rigging plot if it hangs. Centre-of-gravity worked out before any material is cut. The calc pack ships with the prop for venue and insurer sign-off.
Step 3: Workshop appointment and fabrication
Once the design is signed off, we appoint the right specialist workshop from our trusted London and UK network — matched to the materials, the finish standard, the structural complexity and the lead time. Whether the build calls for CNC, fibreglass, vac-form, hand-sculpt, foam carve, steel framing or hybrid fabrication, we route the brief to the right team. PopHaus runs the workshop coordination, quality control and snagging so you only ever have one point of contact.
Step 4: Paint, print and specialist finishing
Brand-matched paint, specialist finishes (chrome, gloss, metallic, weathered, neon, glow-in-dark), graphics and signage all applied at the fabrication stage so site-day is wiring and assembly only. Colour matching to your brand guidelines, test-printed and signed off ahead of the full run.
Step 5: Transport, access and install
Crating and transport sized to the prop. Larger pieces ship in sections — designed to bolt together cleanly on site without showing the joins. Install crew briefed and rehearsed on assembly sequence before they reach the venue. HIAB, Moffett or hand-ball depending on the access. Full detail on our [event installation and de-rig]service.
Step 6: Strike, storage or sustainable disposal
Clean strike to the venue's schedule, delivered by our install crew. Where reuse is on the table — particularly for hero pieces that can travel a national roadshow or seasonal campaign — we store the prop for the next deployment, paying back storage cost inside the second redeployment. Where the prop doesn't reuse, materials are routed to timber recycling, metal recycling, charity build projects or community spaces. See event logistics, storage and reusefor the full process.

Why agencies and brands brief PopHaus for giant props
Six reasons PR agencies, creative shops and direct brand teams brief PopHaus as their producer over splitting the brief across multiple suppliers:
-
Single accountable producer. One project lead from sketch to strike. We carry the workshop coordination, supplier QA, install scheduling and on-site running so you only ever talk to one person.
-
Right workshop, every time. Our trusted network of London and UK fabricators means we appoint the right specialist for each brief — not whoever happens to have capacity. CNC for tight tolerances, fibreglass for sculptural pieces, vac-form for complex curves, steel for structural builds.
-
Engineered for the photograph. Every hero piece is designed backwards from the shot the brief calls for. Angles, lighting position, scale relationship to people in the shot all stress-tested at 3D-visualisation stage.
-
Travels safely. Bolt-together modular sections engineered for transit between venues. We've moved large-scale builds across the UK festival circuit and to European product launches without on-site rework.
-
White-label as standard. Crew arrive in unbranded blacks, site hoarding is unbranded, NDA signed by default, credit stays with your agency.
-
Documented compliance. Structural calcs, fire-retardant material certificates, RAMS, CDM 2015 paperwork all supplied as standard. Venue, local authority and insurer sign-off pack ready on request.
